Orange County’s office market ended 2025 with its strongest momentum in more than a decade as tenant move‑outs slowed sharply and move‑ins accelerated, pushing quarterly net absorption to 1 million square feet. This marked the highest quarterly absorption total since 2013 and represented a clear uptick in demand.

Orange County employment increase buoyed by healthcare surge

The September jobs report for Orange County, delayed by the federal shutdown, shows a modest overall employment gain year over year, despite sharp losses in several key sectors. The region added approximately 4,200 nonfarm jobs from a year prior, a 0.2% increase, as strong hiring at the start of the school year in education and health services and government offset declines in construction and office-using industries.
